The Role of the Player

What role was the college football player supposed to play on NC State's campus, and how should they act in order to be positive role models to other students?  During the Anderson-Sermon controversy students and faculty questioned the morals, character, and integrity of the football players themselves and the program in general.  This section focuses on the concerns that NC State's football team did not display appropriate morals and actions, which illustrates intercollegiate football's role as educational and character-forming.
