Campus Leaders Call Convocation--Debating Cambodia

Title

Campus Leaders Call Convocation--Debating Cambodia

Description

On May 1, 1970 President Nixon announced that the United States had invaded Cambodia. Angered by this further escalation and expansion of the Vietnamese War many students protested. The student government and administration recommended a convocation meeting to debate the topic. The goal was to provide an opportunity for students to voice their anger constructively and explore the potential for group discussion.
