I would like to submit the folloll1ng letter as a suggestion for communicating with Negro applicants:

"Dear Mr. __________:

Your application for admission to the curriculum in __________ has been received.

Tbe Board of Trustees of the Consolidated University of North Carolina has decided that applications of Negroes to the undergraduate schools at the three branches of the Consolidated University not be accepted.

We trust that you will be able to pursue your education at another college."
