In this June 30, 1950 letter, John W. Clark, identified as a member of the Executive Committee of the University of North Carolina Board of Trustees, stated that the NC Attorney General expressed his support UNC's Board of Trustee's efforts to prevent African American students from entering UNC-Chapel Hill. Although unidentified in the letter, NC's Attorney General was Harry McMullan, who served from 1938 to 1955.
