Description
Black Faculty and Professional Staff was a campus group composed of university black employees that represented the interests of NC State's black community. They fought for equality and representation in the university administration and often advised the Chancellor's office in ways to improve the racial composition of the campus. This particular memorandum reviews the progress of black representation on campus during 1978. Black student and professional staff increased during the year, but little progress was made in black faculty appointments. Dr. Nash Winstead asked the Black Faculty and Professional Staff for assistance in recruiting black faculty members.
