Title

NCSU Interim Affirmative Action Recruitment Report, 1977-1978

Description

In response to a Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW) investigation in the 1970s and the implementation of affirmative action and equal employment opportunity laws, North Carolina State University established an affirmative action program to address disproportional hiring on the basis of race. The recruitment report was a mandatory form which divided potential candidates by race and gender. The creator then indicated if any minority and women candidates were considered for the job.
