Ted Brown

1978  Ted Brown

Ted Brown was the first African American football player at N.C. State to be voted to college football’s All American team.[1] Brown, from High Point, North Carolina, was arguably the greatest running back in the schools history. He rushed for a school and ACC record of 4,602 yards and scored 51 touchdowns during his career. Before his final game in November of 1978 his jersey was retired.[2]
