H.W. Taylor to Colonel J.W. Harrelson, December 6, 1936

Title

H.W. Taylor to Colonel J.W. Harrelson, December 6, 1936

Description

In a letter to Dean Harrelson, NC State alum H.W. Taylor expressed his regret that the football controversy at NC State was overshadowing academics, which he felt should be the true focus of a college. He expressed admiration for Davidson football teams, which did not always win but were very spirited. He felt that one reason for their good spirit was that Davidson's teams were mostly composed of "native" players, and that having more of these players might improve the football situation at NC State.
