This photograph is of Sidney Lowe, North Carolina State University's first African-American head coach of men's basketball. Lowe, who coached the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Memphis Grizzlies before coming to NCSU, also played as a the starting point guard for NCSU's 1983 national championship team. Lowe coached the NCSU men's team from 2006 to 2011.
