Description

This memo contains a copy of a resolution passed by the University Board of Trustees on April 4, 1951 concerning the admission of African American graduate students. The Board resolved that only students applying for programs not available at traditionally black universities should be considered for admission. Harrelson also noted several additional rules regarding the admission of African American students at State College, including the ineligibility of out-of-state students and the exclusion of African American students from the summer school and undergraduate programs.
